Thank you so much!! :blushes:
I don't know what to say... I do work hard at my costumes, and love getting good feedback :glomp:

:flirty: Perfect belly?!?! wow, thanks! Tell your boyfriend I'm very flattered
I can honestly say that I'll never have the physique of a supermodel, and I'm glad, cause I don't think I'd last very long in our weather if I did!!

It is simply amazing how people everywhere shaped their tools very similarly. For the last 150 years there was a very strong Scottish influence here-not at all out of the realm of possibilities that the local design was affected very strongly by that.Would it be rude and unreasonable on my part to humbly beg you to post the picture of your grandma's knife?

After so many onigiri pictures, how could I NOT favorite rice cakes. Hmm rice cakes. The world needs MORE rice cakes.
Also, I really like the angle of the shot, and the colors you chose to compliment the shrimp and rice. The two greens, the textures of the plate and the mat. The line of the chopsticks making sure you don't forget the humble but important fish sauce in the background. It is exactly pretty enough for what it is, a tasty snack.

That plush makes me want to type in lolcat. I am so ashamed.

I end up faving so much of your stuff. I think I have what? Three of your faun favorited? But you make such a great faun (and everything else). I really admire the detail and professionalism of your work.
Okay, that and my boyfriend finds you amazingly hot. Supermodels leave him cold but a girl with mucha hair, shaggy ears and a perfect belly? He's GONE!

It looks like just the sort of tiny thing Agatha would wear in Girl Genius. She would wear it, and it would either be adorable, be able to flatten a small village, make complex repairs to air ships or possibly all three. Cute!

It looks amazingly comfortable to use. I have my (scottish) grandmother's pastry cutting knife and it is very similar in shape. Yours is much more beautiful though, such nice complex curves. That must add a lot of strength.

I can't remember exactly why I favorited this. It IS gorgeous. But there are a bazillion collars in jewelry, you know? Taking a guess... I live really close to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose and visit probably at least once a year. They used to have a room dedicated to actual necklaces from really old Egypt. Your piece reminds me of the colors, roughness and vibrancy of the mid-early actual necklaces. Very well done. Not too Greek influenced at all.

Thanks so much! I really enjoy circular brick-stitch for the fact that you can combine beads of so many different sizes and textures in it.

Thank you very much fot the fav on the tlabaas. That design goes back god knows how far,(i recently found out that the "tla"part refers to a sort of hard shale, from which the old ones were knapped).Jake.

It looks so cute and comfy!
And cute.
Did I mention cute?
~Perlandria:iconPerlandria: Feb 28, 2008, 10:53:36 PM
I have about a bazillion friends who would go gaga to have that on their walls. I would too, only my cats would love it more than I would - in a bad velveteen rabbit sort of tough love.

The beading you chose is perfect. It has that underglow, the patina of the feathers without being too shiny or too dull. Very well chosen. And I like the textures too, such as the ruffly top.

Thank you for posting your quilt. I love the way your colors aren't muddy at all. Each choice is distinct. And yet they blend so nicely. It is a contrast balance I don't think I have the delicacy to try.

You just made my day :) I always wanted to take a photo of something edible which would make people hungry upon looking at it. I'm glad it did that at least to one person!
Ahaha she actually was a lot smaller back then! Now she is a fat 4 - 5 months old baby.
And yes apparently we were that tiny. Kind of .. strange.

Thank you so much! You hit the nail on the head... it is so difficult to photgraph. I never realized I would have to be a photographer when I started making pottery. LOL A photo is a very poor subsititute for picking up a piece and feeling it in your hand. I throw my pots pretty thin, so they are typically light weight. I spend a lot of time on my finishes. The horse hair pots, clay saggars, and foil saggars all start with the same exact surfaces (burnished with terra sigilata), and then get the color or hair added to them in the second firing. You can just see the nice white surface photographs better with the horsehair pots. (I think the surface looks like marshmallow cream) They all have a satin-y feel to them though. Pottery is very tactile - not just in the finished product, but also for me in the making. It's the feel of the clay on the wheel that got me instantly hooked.
