The return of more art around to be put on the scanner bead because it isn't perfect!
I am obviously post 'working with yellow' breakthrough here. The fairly classic 8 sides star seedbead pattern is so nicely lacy and delicate I wondered if I could make a choker for a friend by chaining a few togeather. This is my mock up.
I liked the color balance. The thread is visible, so the real one was made with golden yellow thread. I like to finish knots with glue, but this glue spread badly. The frosted effect of the spread glue isn't bad, but not what I wanted. Attaching the stars at only one arm leads to a lot of flipping and folding, so I attached the real necklace as two points. The real necklace was finished with pearls in place of bells. The earrings were taken down to a single drop in place of three. It had golden ribbon at both ends so it could be tied to suit.
I'll try to get a scan of the real one later. I still think the mock up is very pretty, and about 95% wearable as either a choker or bracelet. I like bells in bracelets more than necklaces. All it would take is some ribbon.
Thank you very much! Now if the finished piece this was a test for would just surface. The problem with delicate seed bead pieces is that they take up so little space and are so easy to put somewhere 'safe'.
I love intricately woven pieces - I, too, sometimes use a multitude of tiny seed beads to create a delicate piece like this. For a test, this one looks great. I'm not a fan of pink, but I'd still wear this!
